Who we are

CarrierReady is a product of Xenco Labs, Inc., based in Pleasanton, California. Questions about this policy or your information go to support@getcarrierready.com.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Waitlist and newsletter sign-ups: your email address and, if you provide them, your name and firm name.
• Shadow Pilot applications: firm name, your name and role, email, phone number, number of attorneys, billing system, the carriers you bill most often, and the best time to reach you.
• Your consent choices: whether you agreed to receive our newsletter, the exact wording you agreed to, when, and when you unsubscribed.
• Messages you send us by email, including support requests.

Information collected automatically

• Campaign and referral data: the UTM parameters and referring page that brought you to the site, stored with a sign-up or application.
• Browser information: the user-agent string your browser sends when you submit a form or change your consent, kept as part of the consent record.
• Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider (such as IP address, request time and the page requested) for security and reliability.

Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are read and how people arrive. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you visit. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization for this property, and we do not use the data for advertising.

You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

When you sign in

When sign-in is available, you can create an account with an email address or with Google. If you choose Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We use them only to create and identify your CarrierReady account and to contact you about it.

CarrierReady's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models, and no person at Xenco Labs, Inc. reads it except with your permission, for security purposes, or to comply with law.

How we use it

• To review Shadow Pilot applications and contact you about them.
• To send the newsletter, only if you opted in.
• To operate your account, provide the service and answer support requests.
• To understand which channels bring people to the site, using the campaign data above.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and spam, and meet legal obligations.

Client billing data

When a firm uses CarrierReady to review invoices, the time entries, matter information and billing files it provides are handled under that firm's written agreement with us. We process that data only to provide the service to the firm, keep it confidential, and do not use it to train generalized AI models. Firms remain responsible for their own professional obligations about client information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run the site on our behalf:

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Neon hosts our database.
• Mautic, our self-managed email marketing system, stores contacts and sends email.
• Clerk provides account sign-in.
• Google Analytics measures how the site is used.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces this site uses, which means your browser requests them from Google.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

How long we keep it

We keep sign-up and application records while you remain on our list or in discussions with us, and consent records for as long as we need to show what you agreed to. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.
• Access, correct or delete your information by emailing support@getcarrierready.com.
• California residents have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. You or an authorized agent may make a request at the email above; we will verify the request before acting on it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, our database accounts have only the permissions they need, and access is limited to the people who run CarrierReady. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you as required by law if a breach affects your information.

Children

CarrierReady is a business service for law firms and is not directed to anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above, and if the change is material we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. See also our Terms of Service.
